An Unpredictable Start to the Season

Hudson began his rookie Mini Swift season in January at the 20th Annual Musselman Cup Kart Race in Tucson, AZ, where he secured a commendable 2nd place, marking his first podium finish in this new category. He returned to Musselman Honda Circuit for Rounds 1 and 2 of the Challenge of the Americas in February.

Unfortunately, the weekend proved challenging, as the track felt completely different, and we struggled to find the right settings—from tire pressures to setup and gearing. Ronaldo, Hudson's dad and mechanic, tirelessly made adjustments after each session, but nothing seemed effective. As a result, Hudson found himself off pace compared to the front runners and could not keep his kart from sliding in the turns. This was not the start we envisioned for the series, especially after the confidence boost from the previous week’s 2nd place finish. Ultimately, Hudson finished Round 1 in 6th place and Round 2 in 8th, accumulating 129 points in the championship and placing him 6th overall.
